The French economy grew 0.5% quarter-on-quarter in Q3 2025, accelerating from 0.3% in Q2 and strongly surpassing market forecasts of 0.1%, according to preliminary estimates. It was the fastest quarterly expansion since Q2 2023. On a year-on-year basis, GDP rose 0.9%, stronger than the revised 0.7% growth in Q2, marking the fastest annual pace in a year.
