DAX Cautiously Higher

The DAX 40 traded slightly above the flatline around 26,300 on Thursday, supported by technology stocks after Nvidia’s strong sales outlook reinforced optimism over continued AI spending. Meanwhile, investors refrained from taking larger positions ahead of the Jackson Hole central bankers’ symposium, which kicks off today, with Fed Chair Kevin Warsh scheduled to speak on Friday. The ECB’s Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts will also be closely scrutinized for clues on the interest rate outlook. At the same time, the situation in the Middle East remained in focus. Infineon Technologies and Siemens Energy were the top performers, gaining more than 2% each. SAP shares rose over 1% after a weak performance the previous day. Rheinmetall also advanced 1.2%. On the downside, Heidelberg Materials, Deutsche Telekom, Qiagen NV, MTU Aero Engines and Henkel ranked among the biggest laggards, falling between 1%-1.7%.
