DAX on Cautious Note

The DAX 40 traded just above the flatline on Thursday, remaining near one-month lows of 25,850, tracking a cautious mood across markets. Elevated Middle East hostilities continued to weigh on investor sentiment, though President Trump’s remarks that the conflict would not last “too long” provided some reassurance. Oil prices and bond yields also stabilised after their sharp rise earlier in the week, helping to support broader sentiment. Telecommunications, software and chemical stocks led sectoral gains, while industrials, travel-related stocks and autos came under pressure. Deutche Telekom was among the top performers, rising 1.4%, following reports that Elliott built a stake in the firm. SAP, Siemens Energy and Heidelberg Materials also advanced firmly, each adding over 1%, while Rheinmetall (-1.9%) and Airbus (-1.7%) lagged.
