EU Passenger Car Registrations Rise 10% in September
Passenger car registrations in the European Union increased by 10.0% year-on-year to 888,672 units in September 2025, following a 5.3% rise in August. This marked the third consecutive month of growth, driven mainly by the launch of new models. All four of the EU’s largest markets recorded gains: Spain (16.4%), Germany (12.8%), Italy (4.2%), and France (1.0%). In the battery electric vehicle (BEV) segment, registrations rose by 20.0%, driven particularly by surges in Spain (59.7%) and Germany (31.9%).
