Poland Inflation at 10-Month High in April

The annual inflation rate in Poland rose to 3.2% year-on-year in April 2026 from 3% in the previous month, according to preliminary estimates. This marked the highest level since June 2025, reflecting sustained price pressures across key categories. Food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.9%, while electricity, gas, and other fuels accelerated to 4.7%. Fuel and transport equipment also continued to rise, climbing to 8.4%, amid ongoing geopolitical tensions linked to the Middle East conflict. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.6% in April, easing from a 1.1% rise in the preceding period.
