Danish Jobless Rate Steady at 2.7% for 3th Month

Denmark’s unemployment rate stood at 2.7% in April 2026, unchanged from the previous two months and remaining at its highest level since September 2021. The number of unemployed persons increased by 0.6 thousand from a month earlier to 81.4 thousand. The unemployment rate for men remained steady at 3%, while the rate for women was unchanged at 3.1%. Recipients of unemployment benefits rose by 0.4 thousand to 71.3 thousand, while cash assistance recipients increased by 0.2 thousand to 10.1 thousand. Among age groups, youth unemployment, covering job seekers aged 16 to 24, edged up to 1.6% from 1.5% in March, while the rates for those aged 25 to 29 and 30 to 39 remained unchanged at 4.9% and 4.2%, respectively.
