US Futures Hold Muted Movements

US equity futures were muted on Thursday as markets continued to assess how the corporate sector will fare against a backdrop of higher interest rates. Contracts for the S&P 500 were flat, balancing the composition of a 0.2% gain for the Dow and a 0.6% drop for the Nasdaq 100. Broadcom was 3% lower premarket despite posing a 221% annual growth in revenue in its last fiscal quarter, another chip producer that failed to meet the higher end of estimate ranges. AI infrastructure stocks tracked the losses, with Nvidia, Sandisk, and Marvell down more than 1%. Meanwhile, Hewlett Packard Enterprises fell 4.3% after its results fell short of expectations. Still, broader indices were higher after growing bets of a Fed hike this month had pressured exchanges this week. Treasury yields halted their recent rally despite fresh intervention on the yen by Tokyo. Citi, Tesla, and Lilly were due to open around 1% higher.
