Siemens climbed 1.9% following its announcement of a deal with chipmaker Nvidia, while Bayer rose 1.1% after revealing it had filed lawsuits against Covid-19 vaccine makers Pfizer, BioNTech, and Moderna, alleging they used its mRNA technology in their vaccines. Defense names Hensoldt (1.4%), Rheinmetall (1.3%), and Renk (0.7%) were also in demand.
