Frankfurt’s DAX 40 gained 0.6% to 25,520 on Tuesday, its highest level since July 6, as investors welcomed corporate earnings updates and lower oil prices amid hopes the US and Iran could resume negotiations to ease tensions in the Middle East. Mercedes-Benz surged more than 5% to lead the index after reaffirming its passenger car margin target despite cutting its revenue forecast following a weak quarter. Meanwhile, TeamViewer fell over 2% after reporting another decline in revenue while maintaining its full-year guidance. AI-related stocks remained under pressure as concerns grew that the sector’s rally has become overstretched, alongside rising competition from China and increasing funding requirements. Infineon and Siemens Energy both slipped around 1%, while Hochtief dropped 3%, with the construction firm exposed through its US subsidiary Turner to slowing enthusiasm around large data center projects.
