Next week will host major monetary policy decisions, with Federal Reserve’s FOMC heading into meeting without its usual data due to the US government shutdown. Rate decisions are also awaited by the European Central Bank, the Bank of Japan, and the Bank of Canada. Uncertainty around US economic releases due to the government shutdown will be offset by important earnings results including Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet, Meta, Amazon, Visa, Mastercard, UnitedHealth, NextEra, Eli Lilly, AbbVie, Exxon Mobil, and Chevron. Attention will also be on the meeting between US and Chinese Presidents Trump and Xi Jinping. Elsewhere, GDP figures are due from the Eurozone members, Mexico, and South Korea, while monthly figures are due from Canada. Also, China will release its PMI data. Additionally, an inflation print is due from Australia and the Eurozone.
